Illinois Comptroller Dan Hynes issued the following statement regarding today's Senate action:

"I support the decision of the Senate to remove Governor Blagojevich from office. This has been a very difficult chapter in Illinois' history. I will be working with Governor Quinn, my fellow constitutional officers and the General Assembly to address the many challenges the state is facing."
